Luxaflex® is going green! Although you probably won’t see bright green Duette® Honeycomb Shades in our collection any time soon – you can check out a video of the 2,080 solar panels that were recently installed on our manufacturing facility in Sydney where we are leading the way in our industry by going green with renewable energy.
This significant investment in green energy is yet another step in our commitment to a sustainable future through initiatives that support the preservation of our environment and the reduction of waste. Throughout the life of the project we will generate more than 29 million kWh of energy. This is the equivalent of planting 637,504 trees; saving 24,862 tonnes of CO2 emissions and 8,911 tonnes of waste from landfill.
Most Luxaflex® products are still proudly manufactured in Australia ensuring our 54,880sqm Sydney manufacturing facility is a thriving hub of activity where thousands of window coverings are made and sent out nationwide every week by our staff in Rydalmere. We consistently play to our unique strengths of rich heritage and superior quality products, while constantly innovating to ensure we stay ahead of trends.
